Tascam 38 Tape lifter assembly

These are the two pins that raise the tape away from the heads. they can become worn over time causing a groove which can and does damage the tape.

These have been reset so face is new these were from a Tascam 38 they maybe the same in all of the 30 series I can check but the pins are 40mm high.

If you service this machine you should reset the pins so that the tape faces a round surface, I tend to break 1 in 4 , so its not easy always to do.

Its an easy change and can be done while you are doing the belt as you need just unscrew the brass fixing and lift off the unit and then put the restored one in.
