Tascam 38 tension arm dampeners

These are used either side to dampen the sharp movements of the reels, they are a simple device and inside you need to re-grease these withe special anti backlash grease which is rare.

In old machines this grease dries out so the drum unit  gets stuck and springs fall out etc etc, its a simple matter to re-grease these and often they get missed by service centres.

There seems to be two types one with a hole in the centre one without but it does not effect the units, they can be used in a left or right configuration
