This belt originally in Teac units was a 17 inch belt but the belt was a bit too big so after some use it would start slipping so everyone uses a 16.9 inc belt.

Have sold hundreds without a problem but we had a nice guy on with an X-1000R he said the belt he needed for his machine needed to be a bit longer like 30mm, he assured me that it was a factory standard no one had touched machine , I have always understood these machines that are dual capstan to use the same transport and so same belts but there maybe a variation out there or a modded machine, as it was not uncommon if Teac ran out of motors etc they would use what they had to hand and often motors had another pulley, I have seen with my own eyes factory fresh machines with different pulleys
