TEAC A-3300SX etc etc on off relay, cam and springs and standoff

These go wrong ALL the time probably one of the main faults of these early machines, why they designed it like this I will never no, maybe there was no opto devices at this time, either the little piece of plastic breaks or the Microswitch gets crushed or goes open circuit its a real headache.

Often i see this switch just bypassed rather than repaired.

One tech I know makes a small hole in the machine and mounts some sort of long screw with rubber around it to make like a stop peg, not fancy but solves the problem of the arm going down too far
